● Hot Rolled Carbon Steel Plate Coil:

Hot-rolled steel coils refer to coils obtained by continuously heating, pressing and forming steel billets at high temperatures. Its main features are as follows:

(1) Good surface quality: 

After high-temperature heating and multi-pass pressing, the surface finish is high and there are no obvious oxide scales and defects.

(2) Good mechanical properties: 

Due to high-temperature processing, hot-rolled coil steel has strong plasticity and toughness.

(3) Wide range of applications: 

Hot-rolled coil steel can be used in various fields such as construction, automobiles, and machinery manufacturing, especially in large structural parts.

● Cold Rolled Carbon Steel Plate Coil:

Cold-rolled steel coils refer to coils obtained by rolling, stretching and cooling hot-rolled slabs at room temperature. Its main features are as follows:

(1) Good surface quality: 

After multiple passes of rolling and stretching, the surface finish is higher and there are no obvious oxide scales and defects.

(2) High dimensional accuracy: 

After repeated rolling, the thickness and width errors of cold-rolled coil steel are small, which can meet the needs of precision processing.

(3) Strong corrosion resistance: 

Cold-rolled coil steel has high corrosion resistance and is suitable for making products with high corrosion resistance requirements.

(4) Wide application: 

Cold-rolled coil steel can be used in electronics, electrical appliances, furniture and other industries, and also has important applications in some special fields such as aerospace.

● Other Classification Methods of Carbon Steel Plate Coils:

(1) According to the purpose, carbon steel can be divided into three categories: carbon structural steel, carbon tool steel and free-cutting structural steel. Carbon structural steel is further divided into engineering construction steel and machine manufacturing structural steel;

(2) According to the smelting method, it can be divided into open-hearth steel and converter steel;

(3) According to the deoxidation method, it can be divided into boiling steel (F), killed steel (Z), semi-killed steel (b) and special killed steel (TZ);

(4) According to the carbon content, carbon steel can be divided into low carbon steel (WC ≤ 0.25%), medium carbon steel (WC0.25%-0.6%) and high carbon steel (WC≥ 0.6%);

(5) According to the quality of steel, carbon steel can be divided into ordinary carbon steel (high phosphorus and sulfur content), high-quality carbon steel (low phosphorus and sulfur content), high-grade high-quality steel (lower phosphorus and sulfur content) and special high-quality steel.
